WHY DOES THE MEDIA FOCUS ON ONLY CERTAIN DISASTERS AND FORGET ABOUT THEM IN THE FUTURE?

In this project we researched about the media and its actions. I did research and finally landed on one conclusion. The media forgets current problems because new ones keep on arising. This conclusion may sound really easy, but it is the reason that the media forgets about the disaster. I had some trouble finding information about this cause but it was too hard and I just decided to give up. The picture included here is the paragraph I wrote about the media and its tenancy
